U.S. Historical Documents Pro has completely won me over. I love this app so much I want to shout it from the rooftops. I’ll jump on couches.
I admit this has been the most unlikely of love affairs. I’m not even a history buff. Having more than 200 of the United States’ most influential documents in my pocket, while certainly cool, is not something I thought I’d ever thought I’d want.
To be honest, I’m still not sure it’s something I want. Not to sound like a total Philistine, but the content isn’t what makes this app. Any developer who can click a mouse can pull free content from the public domain. What makes this app is its features.
U.S. Historical Documents Pro is packed with useful tools and functions. Users can create notes, add bookmarks, or employ an especially robust search. If I enter the words “ask not what,” I could get dozens of hits with All Words, hundreds of hits with Any Words, or exactly what I hope to find—the Inaugural Address of John F. Kennedy—with Phrase.
Of course, once I find my document, I’m able to go through and add notes or mark up the text with the Highlighter function. And when I’m satisfied with my reading and note taking, I can send myself an email of the document that retains everything I added.
I couldn’t be more impressed with this amazing app. U.S. Historical Documents Pro is well worth its $4.99 price tag.
