There is a new multimedia equation that every content company needs to pay attention to.
Flipboard + public radio + SoundCloud = genius!
That’s right, Flipboard, the “social magazine” application that debuted on the iPad nearly two years ago, launched on iPhones late last year, and is now slowly rolling out on Android devices has a brand new upgrade (version 1.9) that extends its reach to audio transmission.
As first reported by TechCrunch, the new Flipboard update integrates content from National Public Radio and Public Radio International, and also includes technology from SoundCloud. SoundCloud’s audio recognition expertise bring limitless possibilities to finding content on Flipboard, and converting the app into a next-generation broadcaster.
