If you haven’t heard of Voyces.com, now would be a great time to turn yourself onto this useful and informative web site. The site offers insight from seven industry professionals on marketing, technology and cutting edge business discussions going on in the world today. Voyces (app) by iFan Media, free in the App store, is a direct extension of its web site counterpart. If business and technology are for you, you’ll truly enjoy this simple and tasteful app.
Tap Voyces to get started. You’ll find yourself enjoying a quick splash screen that will land you on the News page of the app. There are five pages of the app, which are always located at the bottom of the screen in a tool bar. The News page is in the middle with Twitter and Friends to the left and Host and Settings to the right. Nothing particularly extraordinary about this app, and yet it’s nicely put together and easy to understand.
On the News page, you’ll have the option of choosing one of the seven industry professionals, or Voyces; view all of the comments made on the articles; or a mash-up of all the current news as presented by the Voyces. Tap one of the options, and if you want to go back, there’s a button at the bottom.
As stated, there are no bells and whistles to the app, it is simply designed to be an easy, on-the-go extension of the Voyces.com web site. To that end, this app is extremely successful. The Twitter page is a mash-up of the Voyces twitter feeds. The Friends page allows you to sign into Facebook, and connect with those of your friends who use the KFAN application (for me, this was, of course, zero friends … oh well).
The Host page is a place for the Voyces to post polls and deals. If you like something here, simply connect with Twitter, and you’re able to tweet to your heart’s content. Finally, your Settings page is where you can connect to Facebook and Twitter, submit feedback, or input your name and email (although, why you’d want to arbitrarily give your email address to yet another mail-bot computer that will, no doubt, make sure you get everything you need, everything you don’t need and then-some, is beyond me).
Overall, this app did a fine job of representing Voyces.com. If you don’t download it or don’t think you’ll enjoy it, at least check out the web site. You might want to add this to favorites in your reader.
