J. Bean is a 20-something wife, mom, and iPhone addict from deep in the heart of Texas. I would tell you more, but I have to keep a low profile, I don’t want to blow my cover. I’ve already said too much.
Folks, I have a confession.
I am addicted to social media. Big shocker, right? When my laptop crashed a month or two, I almost had a meltdown. Sure, I can tweet and tumbl from my phone, but how would I blog?!
So, I broke out my trusty old iPhone, and searched frantically through the App Store. Now, it would have been perfect if Blogger had an actual app, but, to my disappointment, they don’t.
So, I downloaded just about every blogging app I could find.
After trying all of them, I ended up deleting all but two; I kept iBlogger and BlogPress. I have to say that after the last update, BlogPress has been my go to app, with iBlogger being my backup. It’s a extremely easy app to use, and it has pretty much everything you need to write a post.
You can upload photos, include links, and even edit the position, size, family, and color of your font. Once you’re finished writing your post, you can save and preview it. You can save a local draft, meaning it saves just to the app; or save an online draft, meaning it saves to the app and to your drafts on your blog. Save and create a new post, or discard the post completely. You can even set up and post to more than one blog at a time. The app supports Blogger, MSN Live Spaces, WordPress, MovableType, TypePad, Live Journal, Drupal, Joomla, Tumblr, SquareSpace, and My Opera blogs.
I’ve recommended this app to other people who were looking for a “Blog on The Go” type of app, and I have yet to find anyone that didn’t like it. So, if you’re looking for a blogging app, take my advice and go with BlogPress, you won’t regret it! Happy Blogging!
