For those of you who subscribe to your favorite Web sites and blogs through Google Reader, the Byline app, released by Phantom Fish, is a necessary download. Though the app is a little pricey at $4.99, Byline will sync up with your Google Reader and transfer all your feeds to your iPhone or iPod Touch.
After subscribing to any number of the thousands of Web sites available, the app continuously updates your device with new content, and all items can be sorted in custom folders by date and by their source feed. You can also star and share any items in your feed or write and share notes.
The app allows you to archive any items and will download the Web pages to your iPhone so that you can view their Web sites in full.
The best part of the app is its offline access. Users can browse full Web pages and view up to 200 items from each list in offline mode. It’s a great way to read the day’s news while on the subway or get a recipe for dinner while at the grocery store.
