These days, it can be hard to have only one social networking site. Most of us maintain a few (at least). There’s LinkedIn for your professional network, your blog for your daily thoughts, and sites like Facebook to keep you connected to friends. For those of you with all these sites to update, there’s an app that’s just right for you, and it’s called Glue.
The new Glue app for the iPhone and iPod touch not only helps you keep you postings up to date, but it allows you to post on several blogs simultaneously. Those familiar with the Glue for the Firefox Web browser will find this app to be much the same, only in the palm of your hand and with you wherever you go.
Glue also helps you keep track of what you and your friends are into, as well as what’s popular on the Web. Users can click a “thumbs up” for movies, books, and shows they enjoy. Friends can check out your profile and see what you’ve liked and you can see what they like. That way, you don’t have to call a friend for a movie recommendation as you stand at the store, just pull up your Glue account and see what they’re into.
The Glue app works as a companion to the Glue Web site, so users will have to download that as well. You can log on to your free Glue account at www.getglue.com.
