All you socialites out there, get ready! Here’s a group of developers who were really thinking. Goby — for iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad running iOS 3.0 or later — is an excellent app that helps you find stuff to do wherever you are. It helps you plan a weekend, a trip or just find something to do this Friday. I loved playing around with this app, and even more than that, it made we want to get out and do some stuff! (However, I have to finish my reviews, so I’ll do stuff later.)
Goby is sort of like Around Me and Yelp! mashed together. It tells you what’s around you in a given area, but it’s a bit more in-depth than that. This app actually seems concerned about how much fun you have, and wants to maximize it. Pictures at given locations were very impressive. Every single place I found in Goby had pictures from that location! I pulled up New Paltz, N.Y., to see what those hippies are doing up North, and every location had at least three pictures of people hanging out there. I loved it. This kind of follow-through is rare, so take advantage.
I know you do stuff, because everyone does stuff sometimes. Download this app and make your “stuff” that much more thorough and diverse. I highly recommend it.
