NBA Game Time 2011-2012 is a solid, feature-heavy way to follow the NBA season on a nightly basis. It lacks a little in the social media and fan interaction departments, but more than makes up for it with some great statistical information and superb video footage.
It should be noted that the video footage is even better if you subscribe to NBA League Pass. If you’re out and about and can’t get to a TV, you’ll be able to watch all of the night’s games right on your iPhone. It’s a terrific feature and probably worth the price of League Pass alone if you spend a lot of time away from your computer.
The rest of NBA Game Time 2011-2012 is just as solid. Each game has full box scores and game previews available. There’s also a robust selection of team and player statistics, including various categories of league leaders. And if you want all the latest news in the league, there’s a tab for that, too.
When it comes to information, NBA Game Time 2011-2012 has every inch of the court covered. You can even set up alerts to let you know when specific games are starting if you have your eye on a particular contest or two.
It’s odd that there isn’t really a place to comment on games with other app users, and there is little obvious Facebook or Twitter connectivity, too. These snafus aren’t deal breakers, but they’re certainly odd, given how well-connected the rest of NBA Game Time 2011-2012 is.
If you can get over having to use your own Twitter app to discuss a game with your friends, NBA Game Time 2011-2012 is a great way to follow the NBA season. If you have NBA League Pass, it’s pretty much the perfect complement to the service, but even if you don’t, this app should keep you well-informed of all the goings on in the NBA this year.
