A new version of Rock Band hits the App Store today, so music fans, take heed: you’ll want to check this out. We also have an interesting new iPad game and an updated, seasonal version of Angry Birds, to boot. Check them out below.
Rock Band Reloaded (iPhone, iPad) $4.99/$9.99
Rock Band hit the App Store last year with what was pretty much a direct port of the console version of this popular music game. Reloaded, the newest version of Rock Band, features new songs, a split-screen multiplayer mode on its iPad version and full vocal support.
The app includes 15 songs, with six more available for in-app download for free. On top of that, there are another four songs available for in-app purchase — with 10 more free songs planned, and 10 more premium songs as well. Basically, you can tap away at Rock Band on your iOS device for a good long time.
Angry Birds Seasons (iPhone) $0.99
We all love the simplicity and challenge of Angry Birds, but one of the cool things about the game is that developer Rovio Mobile likes to release new content for various holidays. We got a few new things when Halloween rolled around. Now it’s Christmas time — so what’s Rovio planning for us this time?
Turns out, Angry Birds is getting an Advent Calendar-like update of extra holiday themed levels, with a new stage offered every day. Also new to the app is Game Center support, as well as some “hidden” additions we don’t know about yet. If you haven’t tried this game before now, this might be the time.
Spirits for iPad $4.99
This Lemmings-style puzzler has a great, hand-drawn art style and 40 levels of gameplay to offer. The price might be a little high, but the originality of the game will make up for it for many players.
Featuring an orchestral soundtrack and some pretty cool environmental physics, pick this one up if you don’t mind spending a few extra bucks on something that looks, sounds and feels different from the games you’re used to.
