Marbles, guns and roller skates — key elements to the three offerings in today’s Fresh Games list. Puzzler Woozzle will have you sending marbles down interconnected tracks, trying to organize them by color, while Moving Day is a running game (on skates) that requires quick reactions. And lastly, there’s Reload, a shooting range game featuring tons of real-world weaponry. We’ve got all the information you need below.
Woozzle (iPhone, iPad) $0.99
Wooden tracks are transporting marbles around the screen and it’s your job to get them wherever they need to go. Woozzle is the name of such an apparatus, apparently — it shoots marbles of various colors to hubs. Your job is to get each hub filled with marbles of the same color, and the faster you move, the better score you get on each level.
Each Woozzle level gets more complex, and you’ll need to store marbles in different hubs and then send them down different tracks. Tapping a four-slotted hub rotates it, and swiping sends a marble along a new track. Dividing the marbles by color and matching them to the right hub takes a lot of coordination in this puzzler.
Moving Day (iPhone, iPad) $0.99
Don your roller skates, it’s time to play mover. Apparently, the best way to transport a pile of boxes from a house to a distant moving truck is by roller skate in this side-scrolling running game. Like others in the genre, you have to dodge obstacles in your way by sliding up and down the screen — but you also have to protect the stuff you’re moving, and running into something sends all your boxes flying.
The start of each level in Moving Day has you quickly arranging packages so they’re balanced for transport, and if you drop your stuff, you get only 10 seconds to pile it back on. Reaching the truck with a certain number of boxes is key to moving on, and getting the job done fast is key to scoring points.
Reload (iPhone, iPad) $2.99
Grab a gun and hit the pistol range in Reload, a shooting gallery type first-person shooter that requires you to move up, level by level, through gun training before you’re allowed to take down terrorists and save hostages. Once you’re done with pistols, you’ll move onto rifle training, moving from the range to skeet shooting, and finally, sniper training.
Reload features real-world weapons and several different guns to work with on the range. The faster and more accurate you become, the better your scores will be. The game also employs 3D graphics and a cool art style that adds a little life to shooting range targets.
