Fresh iPhone Apps: Fring, Zagat To Go, 3D Brick Breaker, Istaverse, Zlider Extended

Here are five Fresh iPhone apps for today. 

1. Fring 

Now that Google has figured out a backdoor way through Safari to deliver its Voice application to the iPhone, Voice Over IP apps that can place calls over 3G networks are becoming available. Case in point is Fring, which is a free app that lets you make 3G Skype calls on your iPhone (Skype has its own app ready, but is waiting on more information from Apple until it releases it. Another VOIP app recently updated for 3G is iCall Free VOIP.

2. Zagat To Go 

Restaurant guide Zagat this week released a 3.0 version of its popular iPhone app. Still $9.99 (which is a deal when you consider the app contains information from 45 regional guides), the new version offers updated reviews and easy offline access. 

3.3D Brick Breaker Revolution 2

 If you’re going to spend hours in the day breaking virtual bricks on your iPhone, you may as well do so in three beautiful dimensions. This $2.99 iPhone app offers two game modes and 99 different levels of action. 

4. Istaverse 

Fan of the the Gothamist and the publication’s 12 other hipper than though regional blogs? Now you have a comprehensive free iPhone app that pulls together your latest urban news and spotlights things to do off the beaten path. 

5. Zlider Extended (44 Levels) 

There is nothing extended about the price of this great game, which is only 99 cents. Test your coordination as you guide a little meteorite through the galaxy. Just beware of the red stars!
