FarmVille (iPad) Free
As a Facebook game, FarmVille has garnered more 60 million users. Then, it spawned a free iPhone app and merchandise tie-ins with 7-11 stores. As far as app games go, FarmVille is a pretty big deal.
Now iPad owners can get in on the planting action with a free, full-featured app of their own. FarmVille has all the cool things that are available on the Facebook and iPhone versions, plus the ability to share your saved farms between platforms, push notifications to keep you apprised of your crops, and social networking connectivity to brag about your harvesting acumen.
TipTop (iPad, iPhone) Free
This Lemmings-style game has been available for a while on the iPhone, and includes an interesting graphical style coupled with some very simple touch controls. The game even has a plot and five different worlds to go with its tried-and-true gameplay premise.
Now, TipTop hits iPad for the first time, and it’s free. That should be enough information for you.
Walgreens (iPhone, Android) Free
Lots of stores have apps of their own that allow users to shop their websites and place orders from their phones. It’s kind of standard. Walgreens has just released an app of its own that fills this role on both the iPhone and Android platforms.
Both apps have all the standard functions, such as weekly ad rundowns and the ability to shop from the app – but the iPhone app also allows users to snap photos and order prints instantly, as well order prescription refills by number.
The Android version takes those cool features one step further with a barcode reader that can scan prescriptions and refill them even easier.
