Simplicity and weather reports are on offer in Weather Drop, an app designed to let you get weather reports from any specific location you want, whenever you want them. The app integrates maps with its weather forecasts, allowing you to quickly change location and get a weather report from anywhere on the fly, without navigating through a lot of menus.
Weather Drop lets you type in the name of the city you need a forecast for, anywhere in the world, and it also lets you drop pins using your iOS device’s maps for any location. You can visually determine where you need reports from just as easily as you can get generalized weather reports for whole cities. You can also use your device’s GPS capabilities to quickly get a weather report for wherever you are.

Combine your photos with text, word bubbles and other comic staples to tell stories with Kabaam. The app allows you to basically construct a full-page comic strip with real photographs, using the tools the app has on-hand. You’ll arrange the photos to create panels and drop all kinds of stickers and decals onto the finished project to give it that real comic feel.
Once you’ve created your strip, you can quickly and easily share them with your friends using social network support and email. Kabaam supports Twitter and Facebook, making posting your creations quick and easy.
Anomaly Warzone Earth update (iPhone, iPad) $0.99
Anomaly Warzone Earth was already pretty awesome – we liked it enough to make it a Game of the Week when it was released – and now the reverse tower defense game has received a big update. The game is all about taking your convoy of attack vehicles through enemy territory that’s littered with various kinds of defense towers and using strategy and planning to destroy them. Now there are even more levels through which to test your skills.
The update to Anomaly improves the graphics and adds iPad 2 optimization, which is pretty nice considering how pretty the game was already. It also adds universal support and a big new game mode called “Squad Assault Rearmed.” Oh, and to make this even better, the price has been cut in half. Grab it while you can.
Arcade Jumper (iPhone, iPad) $1.99
A 2-D side-scroller in the vein of Super Mario Bros., Arcade Jumper is sure to tickle your nostalgia as it riffs off classic video games like Space Invaders, Asteroids, Mario and others. You play Eddie, a boy on a task to save his brother from an evil ghost. You’re equipped with a pistol (looking suspiciously like Nintendo’s Zapper light gun accessory from back in the 1980s) that you can take on enemies, and you’ll do lots of jumping as you pursue “warp tokens” to transport you from level to level.
Arcade Jumper is a lot of fun for classic video game fans and features the kinds of platforming gameplay that’s quickly becoming a staple of the iTunes App Store. All its levels are randomly generated and increase in difficulty through its 30-stage progression, so you’ll always have a new and different experience. You can also unlock new characters and “in-game helpers” to assist you through the game’s levels, and track your scores and achievements through Game Center.
