Fresh iPhone Apps For Nov. 4: SkyFire Browser, CoBrowser, Team Coco

Finally, there’s a web browser for iOS devices that supports Flash! Although you still have to pay for Hulu. Anyway, check out Skyfire and a few other cool Fresh apps on today’s list.

Skyfire Web Browser (iPhone, iPad) $2.99

This alternative to the iOS version of Safari has one element that sets it apart from every other browser available for iPad and iPhone — it can play Flash videos. Due to popular demand, however, there’s a good chance this app might not be currently available in the App Store because its developers need to increase bandwidth to support its popularity.

Apple has been staunchly against allowing Flash on its mobile devices since the first iPhone. The explanation has always been that supporting websites that use Flash takes up too much processing power and eats up too much battery life. Apparently Skyfire has either solved that problem (it cleverly converts Flash content to HTML5 which iOS is able to play), or Apple decided it didn’t really care.

CoBrowser (iPhone, iPad) $1.99

CoBrowser links an iPhone and iPad via a Bluetooth connection and allows one device to send web pages to the other. It’s a cool way of sharing interesting articles and other web content with a friend, with only one of the devices requiring an Internet connection.

It seems like CoBrowser isn’t the sort of app you’d need to use all the time, although it could be very handy when on vacation or otherwise out of W-iFi range for your iPad. With CoBrowser, you can still read Internet content on your iPad by piggybacking off your iPhone’s 3G connection. It isn’t as cool as tethering, but it’s better than nothing

Team Coco (iPhone) Free

The new TBS show Conan started this week, and if you’re looking for even more from host Conan O’Brien, fire up the Team Coco app. It’s packed full of content related to the show — including plenty of clips from recent episodes.

Team Coco also lets you know about stuff that’s coming up on future episodes, and keys you into Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter’s Twitter accounts. There’s quite a bit of stuff here for Conan fans to enjoy.
