Get ready for a while new Google experience on your iPhone — the former Google Mobile has been revamped, reworked and reimagined to create Google Search, with a whole new interface. It’s leading today’s Fresh Apps list, along with Pimp Your Screen, which lets you customize the look of your iPhone’s apps, and Qik Video Connect Plus, which lets you video chat with Android users. The former Google Mobile has undergone a massive update, totally revamping the app’s visuals from the ground up. It also upgrades Google’s functionality, making its search capabilities quicker and easier to utilize from top to bottom.
While it might have a new name, Google Search retains all its original cool functions. It can still search with text or voice recordings. You can also flip on the iPhone or iPad 2’s rear camera and search visually using the Google Goggles, and return to searches if you’re interrupted by a phone call or message.
Pimp Your Screen – Home Screen Wallpapers and App Shelves (iPhone, iPad) $0.99
Customize the look and feel of your iPhone and iPad’s many screens and icons with Pimp Your Screen, an app for creating a fresh look for those tired old app screens. Pimp Your Screen gives you a lot of control, allowing you to choose background themes and even create app shelves.
Pimp Your Screen supports various iDevice screen resolutions, ranging from low-res to Retina displays, and lets you customize your icon skins, and works for landscape and portrait modes. It’ll also categorize your apps for you or organize them into “popular” and “recent” tabs.
Qik Video Connect Plus (iPhone, iPad 2) $2.99
Connect with Android users by video chat with Qik Video Connect Plus, an app that works with the video capabilities of your iDevice. Not only can you video chat with people on other platforms and other networks, you can also edit video for conversations, add effects and sync with your iPhone’s camera roll.
