Fresh iPhone Apps: SavingStar Grocery eCoupons, FITZDOG, Photosynth

Start saving some money with SavingStar, today’s leading Fresh iPhone App, which brings coupons for more than 20,000 stores straight to your iOS device and lets you scan them at the store while you’re there. We’ve also found a few other cool, free apps — Photosynth, which lets you build panoramic images out of your photos, and FITZDOG, the official app of stand-up comedian Greg Fitzsimmons.

SavingStar Grocery eCoupons

Skip clipping out coupons with SavingStar, an app that provides coupons to more than 20,000 supermarkets and stores that you can use right on your iPhone. You can choose your coupons while you’re actually at stores from the app, or sync with your online SavingStar account and deposit your chosen coupons to your phone for later.

SavingStar links to the loyalty cards you have with various supermarkets, so you can accumulate rewards while you’re using your coupons by scanning your loyalty cards as well as use your coupons. The app will also help find stores nearby your location to use your coupons at as well.

FITZDOG

Get a flood of information and laughs from author, humorist and stand-up comedian Greg “Fitzdog” Fitzsimmons in FITZDOG, the official app of the author’s podcast. Fitzsimmons has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Adam Corolla Show and The Howard Stern Show, and has won four Daytime Emmy Awards. He’s a pretty funny guy.

FITZDOG funnels Fitzsimmons’ podcasts straight to your iPhone, and allows you to play them whenever you want. You can also watch video and check out Fitzsimmons’ Facebook page to keep up on the latest of what’s going on with Fitzdog.

Photosynth

Create your own panoramic photos and share them with Photosynth, an app that lets you put together photos to make larger images. The app guides your shots as you take photos all around you, putting the pictures together with its “interactive capture” feature, and allowing you to create full-sphere panoramas right on your iOS device.

Photosynth saves your images straight to your device’s camera roll and allows you to zoom, pan and stretch the images. You can also save them to Photosynth.net and view them online, and process your images right on your device to see your final image right away.
