Hippogriff Cookbook (iPhone, iPad) $0.99

The app is a great story and a mixture of both humor and practical recipes, which you can still create with a few choice substitutions.
Along with its humorous take on fantasy and medieval tropes, you can actually make food with the Hippogriff Cookbook. The app includes ingredients and preparation methods, plus the “history” of all the foods you’re making. The whole thing also sports an ancient look and illustrations to complete the fantasy experience.
