Here are five Fresh Apps to consider tapping into today.
1. Jersey Shore Party App
Beating MTV and the producers of the hit reality show to the punch (or fist pump) is the independently-developed Jersey Shore Party App. The 99-cent iPhone app, which has no direct references to the show, features a “Male and Female Nickname Generator”, a “Fist Pump Challenge”, and a database of pickup lines. It appears the app learned a lesson of restraint from Pepsico’s AMP UP Before Your Score app that was pulled from the market within weeks of its release.
2. Saleen – Power in the Hands of a Few
Just in time for the Detroit Auto Show is the free iPhone app which showcases a pair of 2010 Saleen Mustangs. The app features parts and dealer finders, a picture gallery and specs for all the new models which are on display this month at the Detroit Auto Show.
3. LEGO Photo
Ever want to see the world through a LEGO lens? Now is your chance with the free LEGO Photo iPhone app. Snap any picture from your iPhone and watch its likeness display in LEGO form. The app is part of the new LEGO Click initiative designed by the company to inspire bright ideas one piece at a time.
4. Battle Blasters
This $2.99 arcade-style game places you in the year 3042. Choose among six characters as you engage in one-on-one battles through three difficulty levels. Monitor how you fare against friends on a Facebook Leaderboard.
5. Real Estate Search
Just in time for a hopeful uptick in the real estate market is a new free iPhone app developed by Realtor.com. With a database of 4 million listings, the app’s GPS technology allows you to search for open houses within a 20-mile radius.
