This app is great if you live in areas with high humidity. It basically tells you what it actually feels like outside to a human being by taking into consideration the level of humidity. When the heat index is high, perspiration goes down, making you feel hotter, much like a wind chill makes you feel colder.
Of course, you could just download the free The Weather Channel (TWC) iPhone app instead, which automatically gives you the temperature, percentage of humidity and the “feels like” temperature. The “feels like” temperature on the TWC app is the same as calculating the heat index with the Heat-Index app.
