Fotopedia Women of the World (Free)
Whether you admire excellent photography or you want to show your support and celebrate the fairer sex, Fotopedia Women of the World makes for a strong app. The photography collection is a set of hundreds of photographs taken from 35 years of photography across 75 different countries and celebrates the strength and fighting spirit of the women of the world. Aside from the collection of pictures, Fotopedia has free wallpapers for your iPhone, stories that correspond to the photos and instant slide shows. Users can also pick out their favorite pictures and put them into a custom album.
Tweetbot ($2.99)
If you missed Tweetbot when it was first released, its recent update offers you a chance to join the cool kids in checking it out. Tweetbot is a Twitter app that gives the user a lot more up-front control by putting useful buttons right at the front of the app. Users can quickly favorite and retweet from the same screen that they check their mentions and messages. New in this update is the ability to preview images before you click on them and a timed auto-refresh for busy users.
DishPal (Free)
At first blush, DishPal doesn’t seem very different from other recipe-sharing apps, but its key feature, the “mobile potluck party,” is a game changer in the food-app scene.
