The highlights of this week’s iPhone game releases, Flick Bowling 2 and We Rule, are sure to garner plenty of attention – not to mention downloads. But less heralded titles such as Hit N’ Run and Let’s Domino also hit the iTunes App Store this week, and both are quality iPhone games that could end up being just a popular.
1. Flick Bowling 2
A sequel to the Freeverse, Inc. iPhone game released in late 2008, ($1.99) is a brilliant iPhone game. It’s a domino toppling game from IdeaPortion that allows you to either download or create your own domino courses and runs. It’s a realistic enough simulation and the replay mode is done very well, as you can simply tilt the iPhone to change the camera view. The game has six backgrounds and two themed environments, as well as infinite level sizes. On the other hand, while Let’s Domino has achievements, unlockable backgrounds and stunts, it doesn’t always feel like a game. Regardless, it’s a very interesting iPhone game that will only get better as more and more courses are uploaded from the community.
