Five in 5 iPhone app promises facelift via funny faces

Botox for your iPhone? That’s exactly what iPhone App Store newcomer Five in 5 claims to be. By performing five facial exercises for five minutes a day, Five in 5 promises that users can turn the clock back five years by toning, tightening and smoothing the forehead, eyes, mouth, chin and neck.

Five in 5’s video tutorial and guided workout are nicely produced and show users exactly what to do to see results. And it’s really funny to watch some chick pull her face around.

Whether or not this app will actually work remains to be seen, but people have been doing facial exercises like the ones in this app for decades. I do think a lower price would behoove the people behind Five in 5, but ladies-who-lunch-turned-recessionistas should still prefer $5 to multiple sessions at a medispa. However, the information provided in Five in 5 isn’t anything you can’t find elsewhere on the Internet, so you’re really paying for the step-by-step instruction at which the app excels.

But please, ladies. Just because the app’s handbook says you can “do [The Pull-In] while driving by alternating hands,” doesn’t mean you should.
