Finder Apps

Wi-Fi Finder

What’s ironic about all wi-fi finders is that you can’t use them unless you have internet access on your mobile phone. Now, if tethering would just become as standard and cheap as we would like it to be, we wouldn’t have to go through the hassle. Since I’ve only tested this app in Los Angeles, I can’t say much about it’s worldwide capabilities. Other users have said that it works internationally and based on that I’ll keep it on my phone. Still, be wary of GPS, especially if you are going somewhere important. GPS is not always right. Or maybe we should all do ourselves a favor and if it’s that important we should look it up the day before. This wii-fi finder is the best I’ve found so far.

Have2P

Just because there is a restroom, doesn’t mean you’re going to be allowed to use it, especially in cities like New York. What’s great about this app is that you can potentially avoid that because those before you who have had that experience can mark it patrons only. Also, you’re able to avoid unclean bathrooms because it lets you rate your experience. As this app spreads, I don’t see how people will be able to live without it. I know I can’t. And for parents, what a lifesaver!

Local Concerts

I chose this app because I wanted to round out my curated list with something fun. If you’re hanging out with friends and looking for something to do like go see some music, this App does that-kind of. Searching by venue is probably the best way to go if you are in a spontaneous mood. My only gripe is that only headliners seem to appear and it’s not the whole schedule for the night. Also, I’m not quite sure it has all of super latest info. Actually that’s three gripes, but the app is still worth it.
