Fandango‘s new app, found free at the iPhone App Store, lets you conveniently search movie locations and times near you. You can then purchase your ticket and view a map with driving directions.
To speed the ticket purchase process, Fandango can save your credit card information. Since you can’t print the ticket directly from your iPhone, you can have your confirmation emailed (and then print the ticket), pick up your ticket from a Fandango kiosk at the theater, or show your credit card once you get to the theater. The Fandango app alerts you about the ticket redemption methods for each location, so you can be prepared.
Notable features include the ability to save your favorite theater locations and bookmark movies you’d like to check out.
There are also movie trailers, which can be viewed directly in the Fandango iPhone app. This, along with information on a given theater’s amenities, makes the Fandango app a fairly well rounded mobile resource for both movies as well as individual theaters.
