Thinking about your next road trip? Get all of today’s Download Discounts to prepare for the next time you’re on a trip with friends – we’ve got a party game, a gas cost monitor and a trail tracker ready to go.

Guess Phrase (iPhone, iPad) Free (was $0.99)

Snag this party game while it won’t cost you a thing. Guess Phrase plays exactly like the popular party game Catch Phrase, and supports multiple teams to make getting a game together during a party as easy as possible.

The game is a little like Pictionary, but instead of drawing, you have to describe a phrase to your teammates and get them to guess it. However, your words can’t rhyme with the phrase, identify its first letters, or use any part of the phrase. It’s like auditory charades, and it can be a very fun activity with lots of people.

HowMuchGas (iPhone) $0.99 (was $1.99)

This is a pretty interesting concept: HowMuchGas uses online data about various makes and models of cars to estimate what a road trip will cost you in gas money.

The app contains cars from about 60 makers and also allows users to submit their own MPG ratings. HowMuchGas interacts with Google Maps, so you can set waypoints and specify what kind of driving you’ll be doing, which factors in to the calculation. HowMuchGas will also help out with navigation as well, giving the distance and time the trip will take and allowing you to avoid tolls or highways.

iWander (iPhone) $0.99 (was $1.99)

Whenever you go outdoors, having fun with activities such as hiking and skiing, you can use iWander to keep track of the routes you take and the things you see and do while you’re out. The app runs in the background of your iPhone 4, using the phone’s GPS to log where you are and keep track of it for later.

The idea is that you can save your hikes, workouts and other route types for later so you can repeat them, or share them with friends on Facebook and Twitter. The app also links in photos that you take and geotags them with your route. For people who like to document their trips, it seems like iWander does all the work.
