Warpgate (iPhone, iPad) Free (was $4.99)
A huge role-playing, space-trading game, Warpgate is all about being an intergalactic business person. The game lets you choose who to deal with — both seedy and not-so-seedy — and tests you to gain as much wealth and power as possible through smart decisions and paying attention to its huge, dynamic economy.
With 100 different quests to complete and 35 star systems to explore, there’s no shortage of things to do in Warp Gate. There are also about 175 ships you can own and use to get around.
Tiki Totems Premium (iPhone, iPad) Free (was $0.99)
The original that started it all, Tiki Totems is the first in the series of games that’s all about making things fall down without falling over. In Tiki Totems, you have several totems that are standing atop stacks of other objects, like wooden blocks or cubes made out of ice. Your job is to drop the totem to the stones below without it touching the ground, by destroying the objects beneath it.
The puzzler includes 208 levels to play through, as well as a free level editor that allows you to create your own stages and post them to the Internet. You can play other users’ levels as well, and track your progress through the game with Tiki Totems’ achievements via OpenFeint.
SHOUT! For Facebook (iPhone, iPad) Free (was $0.99)
Post status updates to your wall and to those of friends with the power of your voice using SHOUT! For Facebook. The app takes just two taps to let you record an audio message and post it straight to Facebook — allowing friends to play the file from their news feeds and hear your voice rather than read.
SHOUT! For Facebook is a little limited at this point; it allows you to post on your own wall or a friend’s, but that’s about it. But developer GZero Ltd. is working on adding SHOUT! functionality to other social networks as well, including Twitter, so keep an eye out for future updates.
