We’ve got a couple of free games for you on today’s Download Discounts list, and in keeping with the money-saving nature of the fare, we’ve rounded out the list with Budgets!, an app designed to help you manage your money and keep track of your finances. On the fun side of things is physics puzzler Crazy Harbor HD, in which you’ll blow up and clear containers from your boat in order to land the most valuable cargo. Grab yourself 40 levels of puzzles with Crazy Harbor, a game in which you need to position a cargo container on a freighter, while getting rid of all other, lower quality containers. To do that, you’ll have to use physics to your advantage, along with a healthy helping of dynamite, magnets and other tools.
You’ve only got 20 seconds to figure out your gameplan for each stage, in which you’ll need to figure out which containers to remove and in what order to clear the path for the container you want to keep. The whole game has the feel and challenge of Jenga — its inspiration.
Blockade – Interstellar Cargo Transport And Navigation (iPhone, iPad) Free (was $1.99)
In the vein of Flight Control comes Blockade, a line-drawing game that makes use of your finger to draw a path to guide spaceships into a station for a landing. Blockade is a little more complex than its popular Earth-based counterpart, requiring players to make decisions about ships that they should save while others must be sacrificed, and you’ll have to avoid dangers like police and asteroids in addition to keeping ships from accidentally running into each other.
Blockade includes eight levels and will test you as you work through its storyline as a navigator for the criminal Syndicate, running a galactic police blockade. It also packs 18 achievements to help take your game to the next level of challenge.
Budgets! (iPhone, iPad) Free (was $2.99)
Get the most out of your money with the help of Budgets!, which is more or less exactly what it sounds like. The app lets you set up budgets and track how you spend your money, updating itself automatically with your monthly bills and allowing you to set shortcuts for transactions you execute frequently.
Once you’ve got all the information in, you can group it by expense to help you better organize and visualize how much you’re spending and on what in all aspects of your life. Budgets! lays out reports for you to see how your money changes over time, and you can even print those reports using the iPhone and iPad’s AirPrint capabilities.
