If you love to doodle on paper, you’ll love the free-hand possibilities of MyPaint2, for $1.99, offers that feature.
You can choose round brush sizes with a sliding scale ranging from one to 50 pixels. The touch pad sometimes has a delayed response, which caused me to use the eraser feature more often with medium-to-large sized brushes. The eraser features a square-shaped brush that ranges from one to 80 pixels.
I did have some difficulty drawing on a photo with any kind of precision but it is easy and fast to erase a mistake.
Still, I could only write funny messages and doodle devil horns on photos of former bosses for so long. The allure of MyPaint Free faded after a while but I suspect kids will love the creative options of MyPaint Free app.
MyPaint2 has additional features, such as special soft brushes, saving your art to your own Painting Gallery, auto-save so you never lose your work and the ability to rate paintings online. If you want such features, $1.99 is a small price to pay, but if you’re just looking for an easy and basic doodle app, MyPaint Free will do the trick.
