Designer Donna Karan already had a presence on the iPhone with her Donna Karan iPhone app, but now the style maven has created an iPhone app dedicated to a single, yet versatile, piece in her DKNY collection—the DKNY Cozy, with the DKNY Cozy iPhone app (free).
The wrap/cardigan sweater (which retails $165 for wool, or $195 for cashmere silk) is designed to be worn in 12 ways, but as it doesn’t come with directions, some fashionistas might be missing out on the intended variety. DKNY Cozy includes large images of each of the 12 looks and features 360-degree video tutorials of how to fold, twist and drape the sweater properly.
DKNY Cozy also features a store directory—the iPhone app asks for your current location, but I’m not sure why as I still had to manually find the DKNY retailers closest to me. In the future, I’d love to see an in-app purchase system added, so women don’t have to track down the sweater online or in-store, or current devotees could easily snag a new color.
The iPhone app is meant to be a companion piece for Cozy owners, but DKNY Cozy’s styling tips would work with other wrap style sweaters as well.
