You might not be getting your daily fix of Dilbert’s antics through a newspaper anymore (because, let’s be honest, you don’t have a subscription), but that doesn’t mean you have go without Dogbert, Alice and Pointy-Haired Boss. New to iPhone and iPod Touch is Dilbert Calendar, a free scheduling app that features a new animated cartoon each day.
Dilbert Calendar integrates with the iPhone calendar and automatically displays all of your previously added appointments. You can add new events through the app, and those will display on your regular calendar too, which means you’ll never have to enter a task twice. The videos launch with a tap, and you’ll be able to quickly access your favorites through the gallery tab. There’s not much to Dilbert Calendar’s interface and although you can swipe between days, you can only see your calendar in day view—a bit of an annoyance if you like to see your entire month.
Downloading Dilbert Calendar is free, but to access all of the content you’ll need, you have to buy a subscription in-app: 30 days for 99 cents, 180 days for $4.99 or a year for $9.99. Those without an unlimited data plan should also be aware that the app is data intensive, so you may want to use the in-app prompt to only download content when a Wi-Fi connection is present.
