The free Ellen app will keep you up to date with exactly what is happening with the show, including guests, games and outtakes. It’s also loaded with pictures of cats, and dogs and other sorts of domestic creatures – Degeneres is famous for her love of animals after all.
She’s everyone’s favorite Italian-American cook, and her show proves that Rachael Ray can satisfy the palates of both adults and children. So next time you find yourself digging through the fridge at dinner time unsure what to prepare, pop open the Rachael Ray’s Tastybytes app ($1.99). It includes dozens of recipes demonstrated on her show such as asparagus salad or citrus fish with bell pepper couscous. It’s almost like the smiling brunette is in the same room with you.
Oprah has boosted the careers of many writers, entertainers and medical experts, but her most famous protégé is certainly the no nonsense Dr. Phil. His show addresses tough family-related issues including divorce, infidelity, abuse and poor money management. The Pocket Phil app for $1.99 is not quite as good as the real thing, but it includes dozens of audio clips of the counselor’s most famous lines. Our favorite: “Are you nuts?”
If you liked the drama factor Oprah’s show, then maybe you’ll dig the drama that can be found on some of the most popular daytime soap operas.
