Cut The Rope: Time Travel ($0.99)
At first glance, Cut The Rope: Time Travel looks an awful lot like its addicting predecessor. But that’s not such a bad thing. As fun and challenging as the first game was, there’s not much you could add without entirely changing the very idea of Cut The Rope. That said, Cut the Rope: Time Travel does add in a new wrinkle, as the player must now feed two monsters instead of one and the levels depict various historical locations. Players now cut ropes in the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, a pirate ship, ancient Egypt, ancient Greece and the Stone Age. If you were a fan of the original, picking up Cut The Rope: Time Travel is a no-brainer.

Fangz ($1.99)
Fangz offers a pretty simple concept – it’s a classic side-scrolling beat ‘em up, featuring vampires, in the style of Double Dragon or the Ninja Turtles Arcade Game. That’s pretty much all you need to know when deciding whether to invest in this fun arcade romp. Fangz features 10 levels with 17 unlockable weapons and four upgradable player stats. As an added bonus for those opposed to in-app purchases, Fangz developer Game Whizzes promises no in-app purchases ever. We’ll see about that, but in the meantime they’ve cooked up a pretty interesting game!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run ($1.99)
Speaking of heroes in a half shell, the Turtles are back with a brand new game from MTV Networks that finds them endlessly running and fighting hordes of Foot Clan. Players can play as Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, and battle through never ending levels while upgrading weapons, gadgets and boosts. TMNT even has a bullet-time escape “Turtle Time” that players can activate to fight segments of the game in slow-motion.
Monkey Boxing ($2.99)
Monkey Boxing, a fully animated 3-D boxing game where monkeys fight other monkeys, might be the weirdest game we’ve ever featured, but it’s worth a closer look. The monkeys are packed with character and players can customize the look of their monkey with wearable props. Monkey Boxing has an infinite number of levels, giving players ample opportunity to punch a monkey and not get in trouble with PETA.
Fish Out of Water! ($0.99)
While some might accuse Fish Out Of Water! of being a little light on gameplay, it reminds me a lot of the Yeti Sports style of games, where players tap a button and the game does the rest. The games are a simple way to waste time and see how well you tapped the screen at the right time. Fish out of Water! is a game where you tap the screen to see how far you can get your fish to fly before it hits the ground. It’s certainly a departure from Halfbrick Studio’s other more involved iPhone games, like Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride, but it might make a nice addition to your game library if you need something low-impact.
