Have you ever wanted to retrieve all of your pics from Facebook and wirelessly download them into your iPhone’s photo album? Well, I didn’t think of that either, but now that you say it, yes I do! Fotoleech by Onyx Fx (99 cents in the App Store) will download all of the photos that are tagged in on Facebook and put them in your iPhone’s photo album. Pretty nifty if you ask me.
There’s virtually nothing to this app. Everything that makes this app wonderful, happens behind the interface. There are exactly two pages to this application: the splash screen and what I affectionately call, the “big button” screen. Tap the app, and you’ll find yourself staring at a landscape splash screen for Onyx Fx. Why they chose to make it landscape is beyond me, because once the app finishes loading, you’re back to portrait view – and no, it doesn’t rotate.
In the bottom left-hand corner of the big-button screen, there’s a Facebook connect button. Get the sign-in taken care of, and you’ll be ready for the fun. Tap the big button in the center of the screen – yes the big button, right there, can’t miss it. That’s it! Let it run, and in a few minutes (or seconds depending on the quantity of pictures) you’ll have an album full of pictures that you are tagged in from all over Facebook.
The only bummer about this app is that you can’t download your own photos and albums to your device through the big-button process. They probably assume that you have them already, I suppose. On the whole, it’s a great app. If you can spare the change, download it.
