No doubt you’ve spent much of this week looking at pictures of the iPhone 4G, but it’s time to turn attention back to your current iPhone. And I’m sure nothing would make it happier than a brand new game.
1. Chaos Rings
Square Enix, the makers of Final Fantasy, released Fast & Furious: Adrenaline ($5.99) brings about what you’d expect: street racing with plenty of nitro. The I-play game has 35 cars and five racing locales as well as five race settings (Road Race, Cop Chase, Time Trial, Boss Battle and Drag Race). It also includes multiplayer racing, via either Bluetooth or WiFi, and a global leaderboard that works with Facebook. As for the gameplay, other race crews challenge you to one of four types of races around Los Angeles and as you gain points you unlock new cars and new challengers. It’s your pretty standard stuff, though fans of the series will likely eat it up. The thing about Adrenaline is that while it’s not a step backwards for the series, it’s not a step forwards either. So those looking for the next great street racing game may want to look elsewhere.
