BeeJive IM calls up complete IM experience on your iPhone

BeeJive’s iPhone app is among the most comprehensive instant messaging tools designed for mobile use. Combining all the major instant messaging clients and several of the major social networking chat clients, BeeJiveIM lets you stay in touch with your friends while on the go.

From Jabber to GoogleTalk and MySpace to Facebook, BeeJiveIM has most every social tool covered.  Intuitive design, custom alerts, saved chats, chat e-mailing options, file-sharing and grouping options keep my friends and my conversations organized.

I switch between my cell phone and computer often throughout the day, so seamless chat organization on my iPhone is necessary for me to continue working while on the go. BeeJive’s rather inclusive view of instant messaging makes this relatively easy for me, especially with the push notifications for iPhone 3.0 users. However, BeeJive only lets you stay logged in for up to 24 hours at a time, and push notifications from BeeJive sometimes get lost in the mix based on the iPhone’s limited display.

In all, I prefer BeeJiveIM to AOL and many other similar products for the iPhone. While it is also useful to be able to call or send text messages to buddies through BeeJive, there is a larger focus on BeeJive’s chat capabilities. The result is that BeeJive falls short in its lack of support for Skype. I would also like to see Twitter support added sooner rather than later.  These are both expected features for future BeeJiveIM releases.
