Tomorrow, March 22, is a big day for Angry Birds fans. The next installment in Rovio’s hugely successful Angry Birds series is expected for iOS, Android, Mac and PC, and this time those little critters are heading into outer space.
Rovio teased us today with an official trailer, embedded here for you viewing pleasure:
Over the past month, Rovio have been slowly releasing information about Angry Birds Space, including a tie-in with NASA. Last week, Rovio debuted some short teaser trailers for the new bird designs, including the Lazer Bird, “one of the fastest objects in the universe.”
In addition, we learned today that Rovio have struck a deal with shopping giant WalMart to offer Angry Birds merchandise in the popular retailer’s stores. Included among the Angry Birds Space gear you can expect to find are limited edition T-shirts, soft toys and snacks, many of which will contain clues to help players unlock special bonus levels in the game.
