Ace Budget iPhone app makes following a budget a little less stressful

I’m not the type of person who closely tracks his spending habits, but I’m more tempted to do so after using Ace Budget, a decent option amonst the scores of personal-finance iPhone apps. Using this app, users can track their expenses and income easily.

This application from SVT Software acts like a personal accountant on your iPhone without much fuss. Divided into three sections—budgets, reports and recurring expenses — the Ace Budget app creates a simple way of keeping track of your finances from the palm of your hand.

The design itself is clean and intuitive, as you’re able to have several different budgets, each with their own customizable options. The reports section is, in my opinion, the most interesting feature because it shows your budget as a pie chart. This could cause some to rethink that impulse buy! You are also able to set transactions that take place on a regular basis using the recurring transaction feature.

For those who really like to keep track of things or back up their data, this finance app allows you to export your budget as a CSV file that can be used in Excel or other finance applications.

The simplicity of this app is one of its greatest strengths, but don’t expect it to do all your financial heavy lifting. There are more robust money management tools out there, but Ace Budget is good for the beginner and is effective is tracking how you handle your money.
