If you are in need of some motivation to take your push-up count to the next level, then the Hundred Pushups app ($1.99) is for you. It’s basically a six-week training program to meet the goal of one hundred push-ups. You can even share your progress and stats with your Twitter and Facebook friends if one-upsmanship is your game.
I found this app terribly boring. If I wanted to do push-ups, I would just do them. No thanks Hundred Pushups app.
You could integrate this app into a total body program by also downloading the Twenty Chinups app (99 cents), Two Hundred Situps app (99 cents) and Two Hundred Squats app (99 cents), but then you would be out almost $5. Compared to some other workout apps I’ve downloaded offering hundreds of innovative workouts, the cost of this app is not worth the minimal offering. They should roll these apps into one and charge a flat fee of $1.99.
Unless you’re a meathead who wants to impress your friends with your workout counts, spend the $5 on a yummy protein shake and call it a day—you’ll thank me later.
