Any apps after that will need to be purchase separately at 99 cents. While this isn’t too bad of a price, the total amount can add up quite quickly. The app displays the available games in the format on which they were originally released.
There is a large selection of arcade games as well as a humongous amount of console games to pick from. Each game has a control scheme set that best caters to its gameplay though many of these I found to be a little too touchy. It was awesome to play through many of the classics that made video games into what they are today.
At the time of this review, Atari also offered the option to purchase all 99 games for $15. If you are an Atari fan, that would probably be the best route to go. As for most of us, these games are great but the controls and slightly annoying interface make it a hard app to recommend. There are just too many other games built on these concepts to justify purchasing the original with poor controls.
