Veterans and active-duty military members can enjoy a variety of free meals and discounts at restaurants across the country on Veterans Day, November 11, 2024. Many popular chains are participating, including Applebee’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Denny’s, IHOP, and Red Lobster. At Applebee’s, veterans and active military can receive a free entrée for lunch or dinner from a select menu.
Options include the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, 6-ounce Top Sirloin, Chicken Tenders Platters, and more. They will also receive a $5 bounce-back card to use within three weeks.

California Pizza Kitchen is offering a free beverage and entrée from a select menu that includes salads, pastas, and pizzas.

Meals and deals for veterans
Denny’s is providing a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. to noon for dine-in only. IHOP is offering a free red, white, and blueberry pancake combo from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Red Lobster is giving veterans and active military a free meal of Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, Fries, and Coleslaw.

Other participating restaurants include Charley’s Cheesesteaks, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Golden Corral, Little Caesars, Outback Steakhouse, Red Robin, Starbucks, Texas Roadhouse, and Wienerschnitzel. Offers vary by location and may include free appetizers, entrees, or discounts. Proof of service, such as a military ID, is generally required to take advantage of these deals.
