Zelda is taking the lead in the upcoming game “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.” Mysterious rifts are appearing across Hyrule, stealing people and land. During a battle with Ganon, Link is pulled into one of these rifts. He manages to free Zelda before disappearing.
Now, Zelda must confront the rifts and uncover what is happening. She teams up with an ethereal creature named Tri. Tri gives Zelda a powerful staff called the Tri Rod.
Zelda Echoes of Wisdom doesn't just star Zelda. According to Nintendo, it's the first Zelda to have a woman serve as a director on the game.

The gameplay focuses on creativity rather than sword fighting. Zelda can use the Tri Rod to make “echoes” of various objects and enemies. These echoes can be used in combat and puzzles.
"I thought we could make something more interesting if we pushed harder."

This allows players to approach challenges in multiple ways. For example, Zelda could create an echo of a rock to throw at an enemy. She could also make echoes of flying monsters to swarm an adversary.
Distracting an enemy with meat, creating a hole behind them, and pushing them in is another option. Players can also light surrounding grass on fire to take out groups of enemies. The game encourages experimentation, making it a dynamic and personalized experience.
Zelda has various powers in the game. Bind lets her latch onto objects or enemies and reposition them.

This is useful for tasks like pushing enemies off cliffs. Reverse Bond follows an object’s movements. This allows Zelda to move in the same direction as a moving platform.
Classic Zelda activities are still present. There is a spin move for cutting grass, which might yield Rupees. Zelda also has a powerful swordfighter form.
This allows her to directly attack enemies with a flashy sword for a limited time. The form is tied to a special meter that can be replenished. Players can explore numerous places and interact with characters in Hyrule.
While investigating the rifts, Zelda will visit different towns and villages. She can embark on side quests and interact with locals. Players can discover outfits with various attributes.
They can also help Dampé build automatons, find ingredients to make smoothies, and find ways to power up. The game features themed dungeons matching the locales Zelda visits. These dungeons have different rooms, enemies, puzzles, keys, doors, and bosses to defeat.
While Ganon appears to be the main antagonist, more details will be revealed once the game is released. “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom” promises an engaging mix of creativity and classic Zelda elements. The game is set to release soon on the Nintendo Switch.
